Dallas – Ft Worth: (Feb. 28, 2008): Jacob R. Miles III, will speak at the MultiCultural Media Expo held at the LA Convention center on March 11-12. He will bring his vast experience leading in the multicultural media and entertainment industry to the MultiCultural Media Expo speaking on “Family Friendly Content and Brands”. A “how to” session where he will address advertising and licensing opportunities for brands seeking cost effective ways to strengthen brands through family friendly association.

Media and Entertainment industry visionary, Jacob R. Miles III was part of the team that pioneered licensing of TV and Film properties for toys and games in the 1970’s. Part of the early part of his career is told in MC Lord’s book, Forever Barbie, it tells the story of his involvement in the first multi-cultural large dolls being mass produced in America. He is also Past President of NAMIC, for the Dallas-Ft Worth region.

His career has included work on some of the leading TV, Film and Toy properties in the world. His career spanning three decades includes stints at Kenner Products, General Mills Toy and Entertainment Group, TONKA TOYS and Hasbro. He has worked on Star Wars, Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake, SEGA Game Systems, among many others, He has worked with Bandai, Irwin Toys, Warner Bros, DIC Entertainment, Film Roman, Hallmark, American Greetings, HBO, BET among others.

Grapevine Star Entertainment recently announced an agreement with LightSwitch LLC of Seattle, WA and Dallas, TX working with several leading developers in Silicon Valley to develop a proprietary series of social network system platforms to enable content entrepreneurs  and companies to promote their media and entertainment products, brands and character based properties with in its target market niches of Urban and Hip Hop, Pop Culture, Anime & Comic, Manga, Heritage Arts and Western & Cowboy.

These platforms will include a children’s, Family Friendly virtual world for the very young that will be initially launched with it’s “the Emotionals™” brand, this platform will be similar to Webkins™ and NeoPetsS® among others. There will also be a tweens and teens focused platform that will be launched with its MeMe and My World™ brand. Other brands that will get integrated into social networks include Tex DunRight™, America’s Favorite Cowboy, Main Street Stories™, Hip Hop Bobbleheads™, Mr. Bandman™ and SunnyLuv™. The company is also launching a Business to Business platform for content creators.
